Note: This status report (below) has been superseded by our October 25 status report.
We have received notice of a new hearing date for argument on the Motion to Dismiss the Amended Complaint (AC). The AC alleges specific instances demonstrating that COP did not believe what it has historically taught about LDS origins. The date for the hearing is January 5, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., via Zoom. We have had many individuals ask whether they can listen during the hearing. If you would like to listen in, please contact the Court directly as instructed in the MEDIA AND PUBLIC ACCESS TO HEARINGS Section in the court rules click here. Chief Judge Robert J. Shelby is the judge on the Gaddy case.

Additionally, we have filed two motions after the Court originally granted our request for oral argument. Those can be found here (Motion to Supplement the Amended Complaint) and here (Motion for Judicial Notice). Argument on these motions will also be heard on January 5th.
